Let it Snow
So I’ve been working on my incessantly-mentioned Love and Capes #2. The problem is that I received so much good reaction to the first book that I’m a little addicted to the feedback now. So I’m tempted to post each page as I’m done, but I know I can’t. So, what I will do is post a panel or two from pages as I get them done. So you can see I’m working hard, and I can show off a little bit.
So far the biggest hassle is that it’s a winter’s tale, which means snow. I had a whole process to do snow in Raider: A Cold Day in Heaven, but that was a black and white book. Getting the two layers of snow to drop out in four colors with proper black holding lines and chokes and spreads and… YIKES!
Page five, a panel of which is shown here, took me six hours on a Friday night to color. The results are worth it, but man, that’s both Stargates, a Law and Order, and a TiVo’d Justice. At least, that’s what I had on when I was working.
