Three, Two, One
Last night was the annual Lake Communicators Apex Awards. I’m a member of the Communicators, and always enter
the awards. I’ve won a few before, and, fortunately, last night was no exception.
That’s saying something, too, as competition gets fiercer every year. Going to the Awards makes me want to go back into the studio and kick it up a notch on whatever I’ve got on my plate. It’s a pretty good time, and it’s nice to see and talk to other like-employed people.

Ride ‘em Cowboy • I have to admit, this one is probably my favorite looking piece of the three that won, so I’m glad it got recognized. This is just one of those rare jobs that actually turned out better than I’d expected. Welcome to the Jungle • This is the Scene Magazine Best of cover/interior illos that I did last year. It was my second project where I married photos with artwork, and was definitely successful. It’s won another award, this year, too, a First Place Cleveland Press Club award.
